Interferenţa tot mai complexă a diferitor genuri şi forme muzicale a condus, în cea de-a doua jumătate a secolului al XX-lea, la crearea şi cristalizarea unor noi modalităţi de manifestare corală. Prin intermediul unor elaborări tehnice ingenioase, a unor soluţii armonico-polifonice sugestive sau a unor sisteme sonore inedite, compozitorii acestei perioade au explorat intens potenţialul folclorului românesc. Aceste modalităţi de exprimare aduc, în peisajul muzicii româneşti, un coeficient ridicat de noutate.

The more complex Interference of different genres and musical forms, led in the second half of the twentieth century to the creation and crystallization of new ways of choral manifestation. Through ingenious technical development, harmonic and polyphonic suggestive solutions or novel sound systems, the composers of this period explored intensely the potential of Romanian folklore. These modes of expression bring to the Romanian music landscape a high coefficient of innovation.
