THE CONCERTANTE SUITE FOR VIOLONCELLO AND PIANO BY GHEORGHE NEAGA: PECULIARITIES OF COMPOSITION AND DRAMATURGY
Instrumental music occupies a special place in the creative activity of Gheorghe Neaga, one of the most important Moldavan composers. The concertante suite for violoncello and piano fully reflects the genre particularities of a concert piece. The analysed work is written in the form of a suite that consists of 5 movements whose parts are contrasting in the thematic material, and individualized through their compositional functions but integrated through the artistic concept expressed inclusively in the tonal and intonative‑thematic principles
