There are no sources in our republic, which reflect the problems of investigations in the domain of the history of arts from a methodological point
of view that could correspond to contemporary demands. The author of this article proposes one of the ways of methodological structuring of investigating the subject. As a result of analyses she distinguished the main important aspects of studying the problem and described the methods of
obtaining them. In conclusion, the author paid attention to the necessity of more publications with methodological aspect, to making investigations in
the domain of the history and theory of arts. Practical and theoretical guidance in this field could be very useful especially for the young generation
involved in scientific research.
