Ghidurile teoretice şi metodologice, precum şi ediţiile de note, au o importanţă majoră în procesul de instruire în domeniul improvizaţiei de jazz. Cunoaşterea acestor surse şi capacitatea de orientare corectă în studierea lor pot avea un impact pozitiv asupra însuşirii artei de improvizare jazzistică. În articolul de faţă este întreprinsă o scurtă trecere în revistă a celor mai accesibile ghiduri teoretico-metodologice în domeniul improvizaţiei de jazz, care pot servi drept îndrumare practică pentru un jazzist începător.

Theoretical and methodological guide books as well as music and other publications are of major importance in the process of teaching jazz improvisation. Knowing these sources and being able to use them correctly can have a positive impact on mastering the art of improvisation. The article presents a brief review of some of the most available theoretical and methodological manuals in the field of jazz improvisation that can be of real use to a musician that is studying jazz.
