În acest articol este pusă în discuţie problema activităţii şi dezvoltării de mai departe a Arhivei de folclor a Academiei de Muzică, Teatru şi Arte Plastice, precum şi unele idei privind perspectivele acesteia. Ne vom axa pe muzica instrumentală, şi în special, vom face referinţă la lăutarii violonişti din zona de nord a Moldovei, înregistraţi în Arhiva de folclor a AMTAP. Considerăm că materialul muzical înregistrat de la ei a jucat un rol important în cercetările etnomuzicologice din ultimii 40 de ani. Prin rezultatele obţinute din unele investigaţii de teren recente, motivăm oportunitatea de promovare a etnomuzicologiei naţionale moderne care tinde spre realizarea unui nou salt.

The problem under dicussion in this article is the activity and further development of the Folklore Archives of the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) as well as some issues on its prospects. We will focus on instrumental music, in particular, we will make reference to the violinists of the North of Moldova registered in the Folklore Archive of AMTAP. We believe that the musical material recorded by them played an important role in the ethnomusicology achievements of the past 40 years. Through the results obtained from some recent field investigations we motivate the opportunity of promoting the modern national ethnomusicology, which is aiming at achieving a new leap.
