THE CHAMBER CHOIR CREDO. HISTORY AND PRESENT
The article introduces Credo — a chamber choir created in 1995 under the auspices of Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and outlines its illustrious
history of international recognition to the present moment. The article goes on to relate the choir’s evolution under its artistic director and conductor
Valentina Boldurat to the larger pattern of more than three hundred years of choir music development in Moldova. Both, the article argues, have ranged boldly from traditional ceremonial functions to the cutting edge of modern music across epochs and genres.
