În anii 1970, în grafica de carte se vor observa tendinţe noi: accentul pe individualitate şi pe libertatea de expresie artistică, înnoirea mijloacelor plastice, utilizarea materialelor noi. Drept consecință, va apărea tendința decorativă și austeră de elaborare a imaginilor, sinteza stilurilor și noua estetică a convenționalului, opus stilisticii și ideologiei sovietice oficiale. Printre tendințe de căutare a noilor modalități artistice a fost utilizarea tehnicilor mixte, combinarea diferitor materiale, uneori chiar nespecifice genului grafic. Aceste schimbări au îmbogățit mult partea semantica și emoțională a operelor.

In the 1970s, new trends will be seen in book graphics: emphasis on individuality and freedom of artistic expression, renewal of plastic means, use of new materials. As a consequence, there will appear a decorative and austere tendency of elaborating the images, the synthesis of styles and new aestethetics of the conventional contrary to the Soviet style and official ideology. Among the trends of searching for new ways in art there has been the use of mixed techniques, a combination of various materials, sometimes even not specific to the genre of graphics. These changes have enriched the semantics and emotional part of the works.
