Începând cu anii ‹70 ai secolului XX în Statele Unite apar o serie de piese documentare asociate cu problemele sociale ale statelor (ura rasială, împuşcarea adolescenţilor în şcoli şi universităţi), mai târziu la începutul anilor 2000, odată cu dezvoltarea operaţiunii antiteroriste globale. Anume în această perioadă apare tehnica „verbatim”, drept instrumentar de lucru în crearea textelor, utilizat de o serie de dramaturgi, printre care Martin Duberman, Eric Bentley, Emiy Mann, Anna Deavere Smith, Eve Ensler ş. a. În articol urmărim o trecere în revistă a celor mai reprezentative texte şi proiecte teatrale create în baza interviurilor, documentelor, materialelor preexistente.

Beginning with the 1970s in the United State, there appeared a series of documentary pieces associated with the social problems of states (racial hatred, the shooting of adolescents in schools and universities), later in the early 2000s – with the development of the global counterterrorism operation. It is during this period that the technique “verbatim” appears, as a working tool in the creation of texts, used by a number of playwrights, including Martin Duberman, Eric Bentley, Emiy Mann,
Anna Deavere Smith, Eve Ensler and others. a. In the article we follow an overview of the most representative texts an the created theatrical projects based on interviews, documents, pre-existing materials.
