Editorial policy of the scientific journal
Study of Arts and Culturology: History, Theory, Practice

General information

The journal  Studiul artelor și culturologie: istorie, teorie, practică (Study of Arts and Culturology: History, Theory, Practice) is a scientific journal, a publication of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts.

The journal is open to the publication of articles, studies, reviews in the field of arts and cultural studies belonging to authors from the Republic of Moldova and other countries.

The goal is to contribute to quality research in the field of Arts, Culturology and Social Sciences.

The main objective of the journal is to present the latest scientific researches of the scientific and teaching staff from AMTAP, as well as from  other institutions and the exchange of ideas and experiences between the scientists from the Republic and from other countries.

Domain, subdomain: humanities; the study of  arts; visual arts, design, musical art, audiovisual arts, culturology, social sciences.

The journal is scientifically accredited under the Regulation for the Evaluation, Classification and Monitoring of Scientific Journals in 2014, 2017 and 2020.

In the period between 2006 and 2013 it appeared under the title Anuar științific: Muzică, Teatru, Arte Plastice (Scientific Yearbook: Music, Theater, Fine Arts).

The journal is presented in the National Bibliometric Instrument (IBN) national database. It will also be included in international databases (DOAJ, CEOOL, Index Copernicus, CiteFactor).
The articles include UDC, ORCID, DOI. We are a member Crossref.

There is an exchange of scientific publications with journals from abroad through the libraries, journals from Romania: Ethnological Memory, Concept, Theatrical Colloquiums, Artes, Music Studies, Intermezzo, RevArt, Review of Artistic Education etc.

Publishing fees for scientific and methodological articles for the teaching staff of AMTAP and the partner institutions of AMTAP (those with whom collaboration agreements have been signed):

7 pages –  free of charge

8-12 pages – 30 lei per page

Publishing fee for representatives from other institutions in the Republic of Moldova:

5-7 pages – 300 lei (one item)

Works that exceed 7 pages (8-12 pages) are charged 50 lei per page.

Publishing fee for teachers from abroad:

5-7 pages – 30 euros

Works that exceed 7 pages (8-12 pages) are charged 3 euros per page.

Peer review

The journal publishes articles that meet the standards of scientific publications that have not been published in other journals, books or editorial publications, that are original, relevant, contain correct data, include bibliographic references, etc.

The materials sent to the editorial office for publication cannot be the subject of offer to other publications until after receiving the negative response from the editorial board of the journal Study of Arts and Culturology: History, Theory, Practice.

The editorial board has the right to reject the materials that do not meet the scientific, methodical-didactic standards and may require the authors to revise the texts in order to meet the professional requirements specific to the journal.

The studies and articles submitted to our journal for publication are peer reviewed and subjected to scientific control. The peer review procedure is performed by specialized referents from the List of referents of the journal. The identity of the author is not disclosed. The editors responsible for the compartments recommend the articles for approval to the Scientific Council, which takes the final decision on the publication or rejection of the scientific and methodological materials.

The articles review process is based on rigorous criteria of appreciation, such as:
 informative character;
 scientific substantiation and relevance of information;
 structure of the article (title, author, abstract, keywords, introduction, content, conclusions, bibliographic references);
 clarity, brevity and accuracy of the article’s text;
 accessibility and understanding;
 relevance and usefulness of the research;
 level of creativity, novelty and innovation;
 grammatical, stylistic correctness.

The responsibility for the originality and statements made in the article is entirely to the author. In case of plagiarism, liability (legal and deontological) rests solely with the author who committed the plagiarism.
The editing instructions are available here. Each article contains ORCID, DOI and is attributed the UDC Classification Index (Universal Decimal Classification).

Open Access Statement

The journal Study of Arts and Culturology: History, Theory, Practice is devoted to real and immediate free access to academic purposes. All the articles published in its pages can be accessed immediately from the date they are published online. There is no additional fee for readers who want to download the articles for their own academic use.
