В статье предлагается краткий обзор музыкально-теоретических рефлексий композитора на философскую категорию времени в интерпретации Анри Бергсона. Опираясь на переводы соответствующих фрагментов из “Трактата о ритме, цвете и орнитологии” О. Мессиана, подчеркивается концептуальное родство интерпретаций категории времени у философа и композитора.

Articolul prezintă o scurtă trecere în revistă a reflecțiilor muzical-teoretice ale compozitorului Olivier Messiaen asupra categoriei filosofice a timpului în concepția scriitorului și filosofului francez Henri Bergson. Bazându-se pe traducerile corespunzătoare ale fragmentelor din „Tractatul despre ritm, culoare și ornitologie” al lui Olivier Messiaen, se subliniază relația conceptuală dintre interpretările categoriei timpului de către filozof și compozitor.

The article presents a brief overview of the musicological reflections of the composer Olivier Messiaen on the philosophical category of time as interpreted by the French writer and philosopher Henri Bergson. The conceptual relationship between the interpretations of the category of time by the philosopher and the composer is based on the translations of the relevant fragments from „Treatise on the Rhythm, Colour and Ornithology” of Olivier Messiaen.
