Ежегодный летний Зальцбургский фестиваль — один из наиболее престижных и значимых в мире музыки. Проводимый на родине В.А. Моцарта с 1920 г., он служит своеобразным индикатором общественно-политической и культурной жизни Европы. Присутствие М. Чеботари на данном фестивале в качестве оперной и камерной певицы — особая эпоха в ее карьере (которая подразделяется на два этапа: довоенный (1931–1932 и 1938–1939) и послевоенный (1945–1948)), которая отмечена особо яркими достижениями в творчестве примадонны, имевшие громкий публичный резонанс. В работе представлены ранее неизвестные молдавскому читателю (переведенные автором данной статьи с немецкого языка) газетные отклики на спектакли с участием артистки. По редким фотографиям, найденным в немецком архиве, также установлено, что летом 1943 г. М. Чеботари встречалась в Зальцбурге с Р. Штраусом.

Prestigiosul festival din Salzburg (Salzburger Festspiele), care se are loc în fiecare vară în orașul natal al lui Mozart, este unul dintre cele mai importante evenimente din lumea muzicii. Fondat în 1920, el a devenit indicatorul vieții politico-sociale și culturale europene. Prezența M. Cebotari la festival, în calitate de cântăreață de operă, oratoriu și lied a devenit o treaptă importantă în cariera ei (ce se împarte în două etape: antebelică (1931–1932 и 1938–1939) și postbelică (1945–1948)) și este marcată de strălucite performanțe artistice, care au fost înalt apreciate de public și critica muzicală. În articol sunt prezentate materiale din ziare, ce reflectă interpretarea de către M. Cebotari a rolurilor din spectacole, montate în cadrul festivalului (în traducerea din germană de către autorul articolului), necunoscute până astăzi cititorului moldovean. La fel, datorită fotografiilor rare, depistate în arhivele germane, este atestat faptul că M. Cebotari s-a întâlnit la Salzburg cu R. Strauss în vara anului 1943.

The annual summer Salzburg festival is one of the most prestigious and important events in the musical world. Since 1920 the festival has been held in the homeland of W.A. Mozart and serves as an indicator of the socio-political life of Europe. The presence of M. Cebotari at this festival as opera and chamber singer had a very special role in her career (which could be subdivided into two periods: pre-war (1931–1932 and 1938–1939) and post-war (1945–1948)) being marked by bright artistic performances that were highly appreciated both by the public and critics. The article presents materials from newspaper reviews that reflect M. Cebotari’s interpretation of the parts from the performances played at the festival. These materials, previously unknown to the Moldovan reader, have been translated from the German language by the author. Also, rare photographs from a German archive are included to demonstrate that in the summer of 1943 M. Cebotari met R. Strauss in Salzburg.
