În comunicarea de faţă ne-am propus studiul fondării şi evoluţiei picturii în acuarelă ca artă independentă. Scopul cercetării constă în determinarea traseului şi factorilor principali care au influenţat dezvoltarea acestei tehnici ale picturii.
Studiul accentuează importanţa şi avantajele acuarelei, care este o tehnică indispensabilă în evoluţia unui artist plastic.
Studierea picturii în acuarelă contribuie la dezvoltarea percepţiei artistice şi duce la o educaţie specifi că şi sistematică prin îmbinarea elementelor de limbaj artistic şi a procedurilor tehnice ce determină gramatica picturii în acuarelă. Totodată, sunt identificaţi şi numiţi artiştii plastici care au contribuit la apariţia şi dezvoltarea picturii în acuarelă pe teritoriul Moldovei.

In the present paper I propose the study of the foundation and evolution of Water-color Painting as an independent art. The aim of the research is to determine the route and the main factors that influenced the development of this painting technique. The study emphasizes the importance and advantages of water colour, which is an indispensable technique in the evolution of a visual artist.
The study of water-color painting contributes to the development of artistic perception and leads to a specific and systematic education, by combining the elements of artistic language and technical procedures, which determine the grammar of water-color painting. At the same time, the plastic artists, who have contributed to the appearance and development of water-color painting on the territory of Moldova.have been identifed and named.
