Integrarea europeană a Republicii Moldova (RM) presupune o apropiere a standardelor şi valorilor culturale comune pentru Uniunea Europeană (UE) şi pentru RM. Acest obiectiv îl urmăreşte cel mai important document politic încheiat de diplomaţia de la Chişinău cu UE – Acordul de Asociere a RM cu UE (Acord), semnat la 27 iunie 2014. Domeniul culturii este menţionat în Acord, preconizând o cooperare strânsă dintre RM şi UE în concordanţă cu asemenea valori precum toleranţa şi echitatea, deschizând noi perspective de dezvoltare şi modernizare socială, de asigurare a unui nivel avansat al securităţii umane, al libertăţii personale şi siguranţei individului. În contextul implementării Acordului, RM se obligă în mod unilateral să-şi racordeze politicile sale naţionale, să aloce o bună parte a bugetului său de stat pentru atingerea acestor obiective şi să ducă o politică externă în concordanţă cu obiectivele trasate în Acord, spre a se edifi ca o societate cu un înalt nivel de civilizare şi bunăstare.

The European integration of the Republic of Moldova (RM) implies an approximation of common cultural standards and values for the European Union (EU) and for the RM. This objective is pursued by the most important political document concluded by the Chisinau diplomacy with the EU – the Agreement of Association of the RM with the EU (Agreement), signed on June 27, 2014. The field of culture is mentioned in the Agreement, calling for close cooperation in line with such values as tolerance and equity, opening new perspectives for social development and modernization, ensuring an advanced level of human security, personal freedom and individual safety. In the context of the implementation of the Agreement, the RM unilaterally undertakes to align its national policies, to allocate a large part of its state budget to achieve these objectives and to pursue a foreign policy in line with the objectives set out in the Agreement, to build in the RM a society with a high level of civilization and well-being.
