Calculatorul a pătruns puternic în viaţa noastră, devenind ceva obişnuit şi necesar. El reprezintă tehnologia care schimbă substanţial modelul nostru de învăţare, dar şi tehnicile de muncă intelectuală a studenţilor actuali. Dacă astăzi mai însuşim cunoştinţe şi ne formăm deprinderi, mâine vom învăţa limbaje şi metode de creativitate. Cerinţele viitorului devin imperative: „Trebuie să fi m pregătiţi să folosim instrumentele cele mai avansate care ne stau la dispoziţie, de la sateliţi şi computere până la videodiscuri şi televiziune interactivă”. Ca mijloc de predare, calculatorul poate fi utilizat în cadrul cursurilor universitare de comunicare de noi cunoştinţe, seminariilor de recapitulare, consolidare şi evaluare. În felul acesta studenţii au posibilitatea să vizioneze o expunere concretă şi clară a cunoştinţelor, pot să aibă pe ecran imaginea unor fenomene sau procese simulate pe calculator.

The computer has entered our lives strongly, becoming something common and necessary. It represents the technology that substantially changes our learning model, but also the intellectual work techniques of today’s students. If today we still acquire knowledge and form skills, tomorrow we will learn languages and methods of creativity. The requirements of the future become imperative: „We must be prepared to use the most advanced tools at our disposal, from satellites and computers to video discs and interactive television”. As a means of teaching, the computer can be used in university courses of communication of new knowledge, seminars of recapitulation, consolidation and evaluation. In this way students have the opportunity to view a concrete and clear presentation of knowledge, they can have on the screen the image of computer simulated phenomena or processes.
