The direct implication of voluntary muscles activity in the postural reflex is well known in the medical world. It has an important role in the direct proprioceptive stimulation of the head and mandible position. The musical literature offers violin techniques that use the posture reflex to do performance in violin playing. The interrelation between them is useful for the music but can be harmful to the violin player if it is not accompanied by specific relaxation exercises.
