Lucrarea se referă la debutul din 1947 al poetei Nina Cassian, cu volumul La scara 1/1, şi reacţiile din presă pe care le-a provocat apariţia acestei cărţi. Pe de o parte, este comentată cronica publicată de Ovid S. Crohmălniceanu în revista „Contemporanul” şi, pe de altă parte, este analizată reacţia lui Traian Şelmaru, materializată într-un text critic publicat în trei numere consecutive din 1948 (2, 4 şi 5 februarie) ale revistei „Scânteia”. Autoarea articolului urmăreşte acuzaţiile de „decadentism burghez” şi „formalism” venite din partea adepţilor „noii literaturi” la adresa poeziei din volumul La scara 1/1, comentează acceptarea de către poetă a criticii şi practicarea poeziei aservite, analizează procesul de revenire la poezia autentică şi reabilitarea volumului de debut al Ninei Cassian.

The paper refers to the debut of the poet Nina Cassian with the volume La scara 1/1, in 1947, and the reactions that the appearance of this book provoked. On the one hand, there is commented the review published by Ovid S. Crohmălniceanu in the magazine “Contemporanul”, and, on the other hand, here is analyzed the reaction of Traian Şelmaru, materialized in a critical text published in three consecutive numbers – 1948, February 2, 4 and 5 – of the magazine “Scânteia”. There is proposed an analysis of the accusations of “bourgeois decadentism” and “formalism” coming from the adherents of the “new literature” are pursued against the poetry in the book La scara 1/1. The author comments on the poet’s acceptance of criticism and the practice of party-loyal poetry, and analyzes the process of returning to authentic poetry and the rehabilitation of Nina Cassian’s debut volume.
