În articolul de faţă se propune o scurtă informaţie ce ţine de studierea semanticii, însumând o sinteză a conceptelor diferitor cercetători cum ar fi Valentina Holopova, Octavian Nemescu, Pascal Bentoiu, Tudor Chiriac, în viziunea cărora muzica este definită ca un sistem complex de comunicare non-verbală, guvernat de legi ontologice şi fenomenologice ce transcend simpla organizare sonoră. Fenomenul muzical reprezintă o formă de cunoaştere şi reflectare a realităţii prin intermediul intonaţiei cu valoare semantică (Holopova), un vehicul de acces către straturile arhetipale ale conştiinţei (Nemescu), un mecanism de proiectare a imaginii lumii în psihicul uman (Bentoiu) şi un sistem energetic fundamentat pe dialectica universală a tensiunii şi relaxării (Chiriac). La fel, se vorbeşte despre sesizarea imaginii ce nu poate fi prezentată convingător dacă nu are un sens constructiv. În acest context, studierea semanticii devine o necesitate imperativă şi strategică în formarea aptitudinilor profesioniste ale compozitorilor, muzicologilor şi interpreţilor.

This article offers a brief overview of the study of semantics, summarizing the concepts of various researchers such as Valentina Holopova, Octavian Nemescu, Pascal Bentoiu, and Tudor Chiriac, who view music as a complex system of nonverbal communication, governed by ontological and phenomenological laws that transcend the mere sound organization. The musical phenomenon represents a form of knowledge and reflection of reality through intonation with semantic value (Holopova), a vehicle for accessing the archetypal layers of consciousness (Nemescu), a mechanism for projecting the image of the world into the human psyche (Bentoiu), and an energetic system grounded in the universal dialectics of tension and relaxation (Chiriac). Similarly, there is discussion of the perception of an image that cannot be convincingly presented unless it possesses constructive meaning. In this context, the study of semantics becomes an imperative and strategic necessity in the development of the professional skills of composers, musicologists, and performers.
