Aşa cum nu există un spectator, respectiv un public în genere unic şi omogen ca structură, ci o suită stratificată de publicuri, la fel nu există nici un public general şi abstract al tuturor artelor. Acest articol scoate în evidenţă răspunsul la întrebarea ce inseamna a fi spectator, deoarece în ultimul timp foarte des ne ciocnim de problema receptării operei de artă, fie aceasta un act dramatic – spectacol, expoziţie de pictură sculptură, concert de muzica, show, ş.a.

The way there does not exist a certain spectator, a unique and homogeneous as structure public in general, but a stratified series of audiences, the same way there does not exist a general and abstract public of all the arts. The present article brings out the answer to the question what it means to be a spectator and receiver of an work of art, because lately we have come across the problem of reception of an art work whether it is a dramatic act – a play, a picture or sculpture display, musical performance, a show etc.
