“MODERN TECHNIQUES OF COMPOSITION” DISCIPLINE FROM THE CURRICULUM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC THEORY AND COMPOSITION OF THE ACADEMY OF MUSIC, THEATRE AND FINE ARTS: ACTUAL SITUATION AND PERSPECTIVES

This article examines and compares the content of the analytical program on the course Modern Techniques of Composition elaborated by prof. V.Zagorschi at the end of the 20th century and the new one proposed by the author. To demonstrate the impact of political and cultural changes in the 90s in the Republic of Moldova on aesthetic, creative and didactic issues of Moldavian composers, the author of the article analyzes the main elements of the programs: object, didactical problems, methodology, goals and objectives. Particular attention is paid to the choice of musical material and subject matter. By continuously upgrading the course, having more correlation with the contemporary theory of composition, the new program
will promote innovative musical thinking, contributing to the professional competence of young authors.
