REFLECTIONS ON THE ORNAMENTAL PHENOMENON IN THE TRADITIONAL SONG

The present article sets forth some thoughts concerning the ornamental phenomenon in the traditional song. It is necessary to carry out pluridementional research at the level of musical anthropology that could reveal the psycho-physiological, ritual, semantic and communicational basis of the ornament which, in its turn, defines the rhythmico-melodic structure and the presence of the ornament in the musical texture.
