Articolul analizează lirica Ninei Cassian din perspectiva conceptelor de senzualitate şi erotism. În primul subcapitol sunt prezentate definiţii şi interpretări filosofice ale celor două concepte, pornind de la gânditori precum Georges Bataille, Michel Foucault şi Julia Kristeva. Senzualitatea este înţeleasă ca dimensiune perceptivă şi afectivă a existenţei, iar erotismul ca experienţă a limitei, a dorinţei şi a alterităţii. În al doilea subcapitol, aceste idei sunt aplicate în analiza mai multor poezii reprezentative ale Ninei Cassian. Poezia sa este caracterizată printr-o expresivitate a trupului şi a emoţiei, în care dorinţa se împleteşte cu luciditatea şi cu rafinamentul stilistic. Concluzia evidenţiază că senzualitatea şi erotismul nu sunt doar teme recurente, ci esenţe ale vocii poetice şi ale unei estetici a intimităţii.

The article analyzes Nina Cassian’s poetry through the lens of the concepts of sensuality and eroticism. The first section presents definitions and philosophical interpretations of these concepts, drawing on thinkers such as Georges Bataille, Michel Foucault, and Julia Kristeva. Sensuality is understood as a perceptive and affective dimension of human experience, while eroticism is viewed as a limit-experience, involving desire and otherness. In the second section, these theoretical ideas are applied to the analysis of several representative poems by Nina Cassian. Her poetry is characterized by an expressiveness of the body and emotion, in which desire blends with lucidity and stylistic refinement. The conclusion emphasizes that sensuality and eroticism are not merely recurring themes, but essential elements of her poetic voice and of an aesthetic of intimacy.
