Articolul este dedicat uneia dintre cele mai importante lucrări academice pentru acordeon din secolul XX – De profundis, semnată de Sofia Gubaidulina, compozitoare, care a marcat în mod esențial muzica academică contemporană. Oprindu-se asupra câtorva repere biografice ale celor mai importante etape din viața și creația compozitoarei, autorul a analizat lucrarea în cauză, remarcabilă pentru abordarea inovativă a compozitoarei, care a reconceptualizat sonoritatea instrumentului, descoperindu-i noi posibilități de exprimare, utilizând tehnici noi de interpretare. Astfel, acordeonul a fost plasat în rândul celor mai interesante și de perspectivă instrumente muzicale în muzica contemporană. În acest sens, un rol esențial l-a avut și renumitul interpret Friedrich Lips, cu care a colaborat compozitoarea.

The article is dedicated to one of the most important academic works for accordion, written in the 20th century –“De Profundis” by Sofia Gubaidulina, a composer that deeply marked the contemporary academic music. The author presented some biographical marks and the most important stages of her life and creation. He analyzed “De Profundis”, remarkable for the innovative approaches of Sofia Gubaidulina that offers a new conception of accordion sonority, discovering new expression possibilities of this instrument, using new performing techniques and placing it on a peer level with other academic musical instruments. Thus, the accordion becomes one the most interesting and perspective musical instruments in contemporary music. In this process, the famous performer Friedrich Lips had an essential role, collaborating with the composer.
